Episode 285 - M*A*S*H (1970)

A terrific dark comedy which spawned one of the most popular TV shows of all-time. If you only know the watered-down TV series, get ready for a film which is completely different and frankly, much better!  Starring Donald Sutherland, Elliott Gould, Sally Kellerman, Tom Skerritt, and Robert Duvall.  Directed by Robert Altman.

Episode 284 - Monkey Business (1931)

The third Marx Brothers movie and the first film to have a script written specifically for the screen and not a Broadway play adaptation.  Follow Groucho, Harpo, Chico, and Zeppo and their madcap antics as stowaways on an ocean liner.

Episode 283 - Iron Man 2 (2010)

Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark in the 3rd film of the MCU, as he battles a new villain (Mickey Rourke) and his own demons.  Co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Rockwell, and Samuel L. Jackson.  Directed by Jon Favreau. 

Episode 282 - The Longest Yard (1974)

The funniest and arguably best football movie ever made.  Burt Reynolds stars as an ex-NFL quarterback thrown in prison and forced to start a football team comprised of inmates to play an exhibition game against the guards.  Co-starring Eddie Albert, James Hampton, Ed Lauter, Richard Kiel, and Ray Nitschke.  Directed by Robert Aldrich.

Episode 281 - Libeled Lady (1936)

A terrific screwball comedy featuring four of the biggest names in Hollywood at the time: Jean Harlow, William Powell, Myrna Loy, and Spencer Tracy.  A newspaper attempts subterfuge in order to get a socialite to drop her libel suit against them.

Episode 280 - L.A. Confidential (1997)

One of the best Neo-Noir films of all time, highlighting the sleazier side of Hollywood in the late 1940s and 50s.  Starring Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kevin Spacey, Kim Basinger, James Cromwell, and Danny DeVito.  Co-written and directed by Curtis Hanson.

Episode 279 - Jumpin’ Jack Flash (1986)

Whoopi Goldberg plays a bank computer data processor, who through an early form of online messaging becomes involved in an espionage plot with a British intelligence agent.  Co-starring Stephen Collins, Carol Kane, Annie Potts, and John Wood.  Directed by Penny Marshall.

Episode 278 - Kid Galahad (1937)

One of the first big budget boxing films about about two shady fight promoters (Edward G. Robinson and Humphrey Bogart) and a fresh-faced farm kid (Wayne Morris) looking to break into the fight game. Co-starring Bette Davis.  Directed by Michael Curtiz.  Remade in 1962 with Elvis Presley.

Episode 277 - Little Big League (1994)

An underappreciated baseball movie about a 12-year-old kid (Luke Edwards) who inherits the Minnesota Twins and becomes the team's manager.  Starring Timothy Busfield, Jason Robards, John Ashton, and Jonathan Silverman. Includes cameos from MLB stars Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson and many others.

Episode 276 - Sabotage (1936)

An early British thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock centering around a number of terrorist bombings in London.  Starring Sylvia Sidney, Oskar Homolka, and John Loder.
